I don't mean to toot my own horn but if I must say so myself I am quite the costume queen.
Especially when it comes to that last minute hustle!
I mean, even if we did wait until the very last minute we still want to have the best costume!
you will find no bunny ears here.

[not to say I have never been a bunny ;) ]
I am going to take you through a little throwback to some of my best homemade [late minute] customs.
This is truly a last minuet do it yourself costume post. Halloween is tomorrow! I hope I can inspire some of you, in your last minuet efforts.
Yes I am aware that I juts said last minute way to many times in the intro blurb.
Paper Bag Princess
One of my favourites, in this case the Dollar store will be your best friend.
What you need:
* A roll of brown paper... unless you can manage to find an actual bag you can fit in.
*Some girly touches, pearls, ribbon, stick on jewels and so on. GO WILD
*A pair of old black tights
* A small aluminum foil stove guard (for the crown)
* & hard head band to secure the crown
* A pair of boots or booties
*Tape & scissors
*Bronzer
Please note: this is a costume that once it is on, it isn't coming off until the night is done.
I recommend starting with the little things before you do the actual paper bag part.
Start my taking your tights and ripping them up, don't over do it! a few holes is perfect.
You might need to put them on for the best visual.
The Crown:
Take your stove guard and start by poking a whole in the center.
From there you will need to use your scissors.
Cut from this center point down to the base, leaving about 2 inches. You want to make sure your cut looks like a triangle with the top center point being the tip.
Repeat this action until the stove guard has triangles like the first all the way around.
Once done start bending the sections to form your miss-matched crown.
Feel free to jewel it up. like I said GO WILD
Next take your hard head band and slowly break a section along the crown rim and feed the head band through to a spot directly on the other side and break this section as well.
Continue to feed the head band through.
Eventually your crown will be securely stationed at the top of the head band.
and ready to be placed on your head.
now it is time to for the fun stuff!
The Makeup.
Just do a usually night look, and then go to town with bronzer and glitter!
Don't forget your arms, you want to look dirty.
the messier the better.
As for hair tease that sh** till your heats content.
perhaps place it in a messy braid like I did, or add some curls to the mess.
Make sure everything else is done before you put the paper on. especially your tights!!
I would also recommend wearing some kind of shorts underneath.
Take your paper and wrap it once around your body. Secure it with tape and repeat for a second time around.
Now this is when the tape will be your best friend!
Tape it up, get crazy, paper is paper and it will rip so be precautious.
Once the dress is on, Make it your own! This is what the ribbon and jewels are for!
Put on those booties and there you have it!
An incredibly easy and cute last minuet Paper Bag Princess
60's House Wife
Easy as pie, and perfect if you are hosting the party
Easy as pie, and perfect if you are hosting the party
What you need:
* A pair of classic Heels
* A 60's inspired dress, or one of your more proper options
*pearls [necklace and earrings]
* An apron
* A fake cigarette
* And a lot of makeup and hair spray
*Bobby pins
This is an easier option. All you need to do for prep is that hair. Get your hand on curler of a curling iron and hit up the YouTube for the best tutorials on how to get the look
I curled mine before doing my makeup
[using lots of hairspray]
and pinned the curls up for that extra hold.
Bobby pins are key!
Once ready I took out the curls and brushed through my hair.
Touching up the waves around my face.
For the face
I also suggest the many great YouTube tutorials out there
but a simple red lip with a defined cat eye is perfect.
For final touches add your props, apron and pearls to give a truly classic and great authentic costume.
Bank robber
If you are anything like me, you own a lot of black! No need to do any shopping.
what you need:
*black, black and more black.
* to be more specific: Black boots, a black belt and a black hate
[to go along with the rest of the black ensemble]
*fake money
[monopoly, or print out some templates from online]
*a mask or black makeup
But it all together and there you are a certified bank robber.
Just add dark makeup or draw on a face mask around your eyes.
Lastly stick your fake money all over your person
Stuff it in your boots, hat and belt.
Well there you have it, three truly easy, but not to easy, last minute DIY costumes.
Send me you costumes from tomorrows activities I want to see!
-With love
