Whether it is a first date, and trip for some ice cream with a friend or a solo walk done by the water, the summer is about simplicity. In the heat the last thing I want to do is put on a full face of makeup or spend anytime picking a cute outfit.
When the sun begins to set and the heat breaks it is nice to as a few simple touches to your natural day look.
let your natural hair down (unless it is some kind of crazy. In this case learn to love the braid) slip into a flowing sundress, and bring along a jacket for when the sun is gone and the cool air seeps in. Throw a few essentials in a old purse maybe add a necklace or bracelet for a simple touch of effort, a bit of makeup to enhance that natural beauty and you are good to slip into a pair of cute flip-flops and head out the door.
Less is more and in the summer months when our skin is sun kissed and everything seems to be more simple it is the perfect time to tone it down. Keep your makeup low key.
