Dreamer vs. Realist

In the past people have told me to be more realistic about my goals and dreams. It has made me question a lot, yes, I tend to be a bit of a dreamer when it come to what I want in life, but I wouldn't say that is a bad thing.

Here is how I see it.
Dreams and goals are good and being realist about them is also good. BUT at the same time you need to push your limits and work for something BIG. It would be so easy for me to lower my standards and succeed, but would I really be reaching my full potential?

It is so hard for me to hear people say things like "finding a job is going to be hard for you"  "you will never reach that point" or "make that much money" and to be honest who are they to set those limits on my life or for that matter their own. We create our limits and if I want to aspire to a certain level in my career or hobbies so be it.

If I set my goal low then that is what they will be, low. If I set my goals high, then anything is possible and even if I don't reach them, I tired. I will be more successful for having endless limits and failing then having low expectations and succeeding.

So maybe I am dreaming, but I am not afraid to try and fail, because this is my life and all I have to do is keep pushing.
but seriously you only live once.
Cliché, I know but wouldn't it be a waste to live without a dream?
